Michael Rosenthal, Chief Investment Officer, has been named in Citywire's 'Wealth Manager Top 100 2020: the final leaders'.
Welcome to our annual study of the leading fund selectors across the UK and Channel Islands.
Once again we have scoured the land to identify the key individuals that control the buy lists of the biggest wealth managers and private banks.
Now in its ninth year, our Top 100 contains household names alongside plenty of entrants. Each firm featured runs more than £500m in assets under management.
We have revealed the Top 100 names in alphabetical order in four parts over the course of the week.
Michael Rosenthal became chief investment officer at Signia Wealth in 2017, having joined the firm in 2013 as head of hedge fund investments. Prior to Signia, he was global co-head of investment and head of the London office for Amundi Alternative Investment, where he spent 11 years. He previously worked for five years as a portfolio manager at JP Morgan Investment Management.
Over the past year, Rosenthal has increased his macro and volatility exposure, a decision he has been happy with: ‘As a result, the portfolio protected capital strongly in Q1 and is up significantly year-to-date.’
Rosenthal’s greatest achievement in the industry has been his ‘portfolio performance, no negative years and consistent annual outperformance against benchmark and peers’.
